Jeremy Gutsche delivered the food keynote at NCA's 2012 State of the Industry Conference in Miami Beach on February 27, 2012.

As the Food Innovation Keynote Speaker, Jeremy discusses how to break from traditional ways of thinking within the industry. Drawing from his award-winning book, ‘Exploiting Chaos,’ Jeremy explains how economic uncertainty leads to innovation, because this forces companies to try new strategies, and reexamine customer values. Understanding consumers is key, and it is critical that companies go and talk to these individuals, and stay connected to their needs and desires. Jeremy also discusses how success for businesses is profitable and necessary, but can also lead companies into a state of complacency. As the Food Innovation Keynote Speaker, Jeremy dives into the importance of failure, because this pushes businesses to try new avenues, and look outside of traditional company strategies.
