Jeremy Gutsche delivered the design keynote at Hospitality Design Summit in Vail on May 24, 2007.
Jeremy's Hospitality Design Keynote covered how to invoke an emotional connection with consumers, as demonstrated with his Keep America Beautiful ad campaign. He also explained how one must push this concept even further and develop a cultural connection with the audience. When this is done, "your product or service becomes a reflection of your customer's lifestyle," according to Jeremy. Other topics Jeremy discussed during his Hospitality Design Keynote included how businesses must observe customers and talk with them to further develop their products, and keep up with current needs and expectations. Jeremy illuminated the importance of "customer obsession," and using this to gain perspective on one's business and the needs of consumers. Without this mindset, Jeremy explains, it's easy to fall behind the competition and stunt the development of a business.
